Yes, Quizify offers a **Free plan** at no cost. It lets you create unlimited quizzes, publish one quiz at a time, add up to 5 questions per quiz, and collect up to 50 responses per month. To publish more quizzes simultaneously or unlock additional features, you can upgrade to a paid plan at any time from the **Billing** page. ## How do I create my first quiz? 1. Open **Shopify Admin → Apps → Quizify**. 2. Go to **Dashboard** or **My Quizzes** and click **Create quiz**. 3. Enter a clear and descriptive name for your quiz. 4. Click **Create** — your quiz opens directly in the Quiz Builder. Inside the Quiz Builder, use the left navigation to add questions, configure recommendations, set up emails, customize design, and publish when ready. ## How do I add the quiz to my Shopify store? You can display your quiz in two ways — choose one from the **Publish** section in the Quiz Builder: * **Embed quiz** — Embeds the quiz directly into a page as part of the page content (home, product, collection, and more). * **Popup quiz** — Opens the quiz as a popup window over the store page. > **Important:** **App Embed must be turned ON** in your Shopify theme for any quiz to appear on your storefront. Without it, customers will not see the quiz even if it is published and placed correctly. ## Where do I place the embed code on a page? To get and place the embed code for your quiz: 1. Open your quiz in the Quiz Builder. 2. Make sure the quiz status is set to **Published** (the embed code is unavailable on Draft quizzes). 3. Click **Embed Quiz** in the top bar, or go to **Publish** in the left icon menu. 4. Copy the embed code from the Embed quiz section. 5. Open the page editor where you want the quiz to appear. 6. Click the **HTML** (`<>`) icon in the editor toolbar. 7. Paste the embed code into the HTML section. 8. Save the page. Your quiz will now appear on that page. ## Can I export quiz responses? Yes. Go to **Submissions** from the left menu, select your quiz from the dropdown, set a date range, and click **Export** in the top right. You can export either **Submissions** (full response data) or **Leads** (contact/email data) as a CSV file. ## What should I do if my quiz is not working? Try the following steps: * Confirm **App Embed is turned ON** in your Shopify theme settings (Shopify Admin → Online Store → Edit Themes). * Check that the quiz status is **Published**, not Draft. Embed codes and popup placements do not work on Draft quizzes. * If you used an embed code, confirm it is placed correctly in the HTML section of the page. * If you used a theme app block, confirm the correct quiz is selected in the block settings inside the theme editor. * Clear your browser cache and reload the page. * If the issue persists, contact Quizify support for help. ## Does Quizify slow down my store? No. Quizify is optimized for performance and uses lightweight scripts that do not affect your Shopify store's loading speed or Core Web Vitals scores. ## Do you offer a free trial for paid plans? Yes. The **Starter**, **Growth**, and **Pro** plans each include a **14-day free trial**, giving you full access to premium features before you are charged. The Plus plan does not include a trial period. ## How do I switch to a different plan? 1. Go to **Shopify Admin → Apps → Quizify**. 2. Click **Billing** in the left menu. 3. Find the plan you want and click **Switch to \[Plan Name]**. 4. Confirm the charge in Shopify to complete the switch. You can upgrade or downgrade at any time. If you downgrade to the Free plan, any quizzes beyond the one-published-quiz limit may be automatically unpublished. ## What happens if I reach my plan's response limit? The outcome depends on your plan: * **Free plan** — Your quiz stops collecting responses at 50 per month. Submissions resume at the start of your next billing cycle or immediately after upgrading to a paid plan. * **Paid plans** — Your quiz continues accepting responses without interruption. Additional responses beyond your monthly allowance are billed as Shopify usage charges: * Starter: \$0.05 per additional response * Growth: \$0.04 per additional response * Pro: \$0.03 per additional response * Plus: \$0.02 per additional response Your response count resets each month in line with your billing cycle. ## Can I use conditional logic in my quiz? Yes. **Logic Jump** in the Quiz Builder lets you route shoppers to different questions — or skip and hide questions — based on their previous answers. It supports Single selection, Multiple selection, Number, Range slider, Rating, Feedback, and Date field question types. To set it up, open your quiz in the Quiz Builder, click **Logic Jump** in the left icon menu, and create rules using the IF → operator → Then structure. ## How do I receive email notifications for new quiz submissions? To get notified whenever a shopper submits your quiz: 1. Open your quiz in the Quiz Builder. 2. Click the **Email** (envelope) icon in the left icon bar. 3. Select **Receive email** from the section list. 4. Check the **Active** checkbox to enable notifications. 5. Enter the email address and click **Add**. 6. Click **Save**. You can add up to **3 email addresses** to receive alerts simultaneously. > **Note:** Receive Email is available on the **Starter plan and higher**. All plans include 100 free emails per month. Additional emails beyond that are billed at \$1 per 100 emails. ## Is Quizify mobile-friendly? Yes. All quizzes created with Quizify are fully responsive and work seamlessly on desktops, tablets, and mobile devices. The Quiz Builder also includes a mobile preview mode so you can check how your quiz looks on smaller screens before publishing. ## How do I cancel my Quizify subscription? 1. Go to **Shopify Admin → Apps → Quizify**. 2. Click **Billing** in the left menu. 3. Find your **Current Plan** card and click **Cancel**. Cancelling moves your store back to the Free plan. All your quizzes and questions remain saved as drafts. Quizzes that exceed the Free plan's one-published-quiz limit may be automatically unpublished. ## How do I send recommended products to quiz takers by email? To automatically email shoppers their results and recommended products after they complete your quiz: 1. Open your quiz in the Quiz Builder. 2. Click the **Email** (envelope) icon in the left icon bar. 3. Select **Send email** from the section list. 4. Check the **Active** checkbox to enable customer emails. 5. Set a delivery time using **Send After** (Immediately, 1 hour, 6 hours, 10 hours, or 24 hours). 6. Fill in **From Name**, **Reply-to Email**, and **Subject**. 7. Use the drag-and-drop **Email Builder** to customize your email layout, add your logo, brand colors, and personalized content using merge tags such as `{{first_name}}` and `{{quiz_title}}`. 8. Click **Save**. > **Note:** Send Email is available on the **Pro plan and higher**. All plans include 100 free emails per month. Additional emails beyond that are billed at \$1 per 100 emails. ## Can I add custom CSS to my quiz? Yes. Open your quiz in the Quiz Builder, go to **Design** in the left icon menu, and use the **Custom CSS** field to apply your own styles and match your store's branding. Custom CSS is available on the **Growth plan and higher**. Modifying the underlying HTML structure or adding custom JavaScript is not supported. ## How does product recommendation work? Open your quiz in the Quiz Builder and click **Recommendation** in the left icon menu. Choose a recommendation type: * **Thank you page** — Shows a closing message to the shopper without product recommendations. * **Normal** — Links individual answers to specific products, variants, collections, or tags. * **Score** — Assigns point values to answers and surfaces results based on the shopper's total score. * **Personality type** — Groups shoppers into distinct profiles, each with its own set of product recommendations. ## Can I customize the quiz design? Yes. Open your quiz in the Quiz Builder and click **Design** in the left icon menu. From there: * **Typography** — Set fonts for headings and body text. You can also upload custom fonts (.TTF, .OTF, .WOFF, .WOFF2) on the Pro plan and higher. * **Appearance** — Customize the progress bar colors, result loader style, and button typography, colors, and shape. * **Settings** — Control display options such as hiding question step counters, showing letter labels on answers, navigation mode (auto-advance or next button), page transition animations, and sticky header offsets for your theme. ## How do response limits work? Each Quizify plan includes a specific number of quiz responses per month. A response is counted each time a customer submits your quiz. Your monthly response limit depends on your plan: * Free: 50 responses/month * Starter: 200 responses/month * Growth: 500 responses/month * Pro: 1,500 responses/month * Plus: 5,000 responses/month If you exceed your plan's included response limit, additional responses are charged based on your plan's overage rate: * Starter: \$0.05 per additional response * Growth: \$0.04 per additional response * Pro: \$0.03 per additional response * Plus: \$0.02 per additional response Your response allowance resets each month according to your billing cycle. For example, if you are on the Pro plan, you get 1,500 responses per month. If you receive 1,520 responses, the additional 20 are charged at $0.03 each, resulting in a $0.60 overage charge.
