Publish

You can show the quiz in two ways:

Open Publish from: Shopify Admin → Apps → Quizify → My Quizzes → Edit → Publish You can also click Embed Quiz at the top of the Quiz Builder.

Save Your Quiz

Finish building your quiz, then click Save.

Set Status to Published

Change the quiz status from Draft to Published. If you see Publish the quiz first to enable this action, the quiz is still a Draft. Switch it to Published and try again.

Turn App Embed ON (Required)

App Embed must be ON for any quiz to work on your storefront. Without App Embed, customers will not see or take the quiz — even if the quiz is published and placed correctly.

How to turn App Embed ON

1. Go to Shopify Admin → Online Store → Themes.
2. Click Customize on your current theme.
3. Open App embeds.
4. Find Quizify.
5. Turn the Quizify toggle ON.
6. Click Save.

You can also enable App Embed from the Quizify Home Get Started guide (Enable App Embed task). Remember: App Embed ON + quiz status Published are both required before customers can use your quiz.

Embed Quiz — Show the Quiz on a Page

Use Embed quiz when you want the quiz to appear as part of a page.

Popup Quiz — Show the Quiz in a Popup

Use Popup quiz when you want the quiz to appear over the store.

On click	Buttons, menus, banners, or “Take the quiz” links	Copy a popup link and add it to a clickable item on your store

Note: Popup quiz may depend on your Quizify plan.

Embed Quiz: Put the Quiz on a Page

Open Publish → Embed quiz. Before you continue, confirm:

• Quiz status is Published
• App Embed is ON

Theme App Block (Recommended)

Use this when you want to add the quiz without editing code.

1. Open Embed quiz → Theme app block.
2. Choose your Theme (usually your live theme).
3. Choose where the quiz should appear:

Page template	Where the quiz shows
Home page	Your store homepage
Product page	Individual product pages
Collection page	Collection listing pages
Standard page	Custom pages (About, FAQ, and similar)
Blog post	Blog article pages
Cart	Cart page
Search	Search results page

4. Click Copy next to Quiz ID.
5. Click Add Embed Quiz Block. This opens the Shopify theme editor.
6. In the Quizify block settings, paste the Quiz ID.
7. Click Save in the theme editor.
8. Open that page on your live store to confirm the quiz shows.

Paste Embed Code / Page or Custom Section

Use this when Theme app blocks are not available, or you want the quiz inside custom page content.

1. Open Embed quiz → Page or custom section.
2. Click Copy next to the Embed code.
3. In Shopify, open the page or section where you want the quiz.
4. Paste the code into one of these places:

Any section that accepts HTML	Custom layouts or special page content

5. Save the page or theme.
6. Check the live page to confirm the quiz shows.

Popup Quiz: Show the Quiz in a Popup

Open Publish → Popup quiz. Before you continue, confirm:

• Quiz status is Published
• App Embed is ON

Choose how you want to pop up the quiz

Opens Automatically

The quiz popup can appear on its own on the pages you choose.

1. Open Popup quiz → Automatically.
2. Choose your Theme.
3. Choose the page type (Home, Product, Collection, Standard page, Blog post, Cart, or Search).
4. Click Copy next to Quiz ID.
5. Click Add Popup Quiz Block. This opens the Shopify theme editor.
6. Paste the Quiz ID into the popup block settings.
7. Set when the popup should appear (for example delay, how often, and display rules).
8. Click Save in the theme editor.
9. Visit the live page to test the popup.

Opens When Someone Clicks a Link

The quiz opens only when a customer clicks a button, menu item, banner, or other link.

1. Open Popup quiz → On click.
2. Choose a popup size. Changing the size updates this link automatically.

3. Click Copy next to the Popup link.
4. In Shopify, add that link to a button, menu item, banner, or any custom link.
5. Save your theme or menu.
6. Click the link on your live store to confirm the popup opens.

Quick Checklist

After you publish, confirm all of these:

Check	Why it matters
Quiz status is Published	Draft quizzes cannot go live on the store
App Embed is ON	Without App Embed, the quiz will not work on the storefront
Correct Quiz ID, embed code, or popup link is used	Wrong ID or link shows the wrong quiz — or nothing
Theme or page is Saved	Unsaved theme changes do not appear on the live store
You tested on the live store	Preview alone is not enough — always check the real storefront

Notes

• App Embed must be ON, or quizzes will not work on your storefront — even if they are published.
• Draft quizzes cannot be placed on the store until you set them to Published.
• Always use the Quiz ID from the same quiz you want to show.
• Theme app block is usually the simplest embed method.
• On-click popup is best for “Take the quiz” buttons.
• Automatic popup is best when you want the quiz to appear without a click.
• After any theme change, test on your live storefront.
