Add a Page

To expand your quiz flow, click Add Page in the left panel of the Quiz Builder and select one of the following page types:

Option	Description
Question	Adds an interactive quiz question where respondents can choose from multiple choices, enter text, upload files, or provide ratings.
Content Slide	Adds an informational screen to display text, images, or instructions between questions without requiring user input.
User Form	Adds a lead capture form to collect customer contact information such as name, email address, phone number, and custom fields.

Note:-

• You can add only one User Form per quiz.

Question Types

Whenever you add a Question page, open the Settings panel on the right and select a Question Type. Quizify offers 12 specialized question types to fit your quiz goals:

Question Type	Center Preview Shows
Single Selection	The question title, selection hint “(Select one option)”, and answer choices displayed as clickable cards or a dropdown list.
Multiple Selection	The question title, multi-select prompt, and answer choice cards where respondents can select more than one option.
Range Slider	The question title and a continuous horizontal slider with custom minimum and maximum values.
Text Field	The question title and a single-line input field for short answers.
Long Text	The question title and an expandable multi-line text area for detailed responses and feedback.
File Upload	The question title and a drag-and-drop file upload zone supporting image and document uploads.
Name	The question title and an input field specifically formatted to capture customer names.
Number	The question title and a numeric input field with optional minimum and maximum value limits.
Date Field	The question title and an interactive date picker supporting single date or date range selection.
Feedback	The question title and an NPS-style numerical scale (e.g., 1 to 10) with custom Left, Middle, and Right text labels.
Rating	The question title and a row of rating icons such as stars, hearts, trophies, or fire symbols.
Address	The question title and organized shipping or residential address fields (street, city, state, postal code, and country).

Note:-

• Certain question types, such as File Upload, may require a specific Quizify subscription plan.

How Question Settings Work

Configure each question by selecting it and adjusting its options in the right-hand panel:

1. Click on any question in the left-hand Builder list to open its editor.
2. Open the Settings tab on the right panel to configure question behavior, validation, and content options.
3. Open the Design tab using the icon to customize typography, colors, borders, and input styling.
4. Watch the center canvas live preview update automatically as you adjust your settings.

Setting	What It Does
Question Type	Switches the question format (e.g., from Single Selection to Rating) and instantly updates the live preview layout.
Question Required	Makes answering mandatory. When turned on, respondents must answer this question before they can proceed to the next page.

How to Change the Position of a Question

You can easily reorder questions in your quiz sequence:

1. Hover your cursor over the question in the left-hand Builder list.
2. Click and hold the drag handle (dotted icon) that appears beside the question name.
3. Drag the question up or down to your desired position in the quiz flow, then release.

How to Delete a Question

To permanently remove a question from your quiz:

1. Hover over the question in the left-hand Builder list.
2. Click the trash bin delete icon that appears.
3. Confirm the deletion prompt to permanently remove the question and its associated options.

How to Duplicate a Question

To clone an existing question and its settings:

1. Hover over the question in the left-hand Builder list.
2. Click Duplicate.
3. A duplicate copy of the question is immediately created directly below the original question with all settings, design configurations, and answer choices preserved.

Insert Answers from Previous Questions (@)

You can personalize subsequent questions dynamically by inserting answers respondents gave in earlier questions. In the Question title or Question description field, type the @ symbol to bring up a list of previous questions, then select the question you want to reference (for example, inserting {{Q1-value:6F5BC0}}). When a customer answers that earlier question on your live quiz, Quizify dynamically replaces the shortcode with their actual response on all subsequent screens. Example

1. Question 1 asks for the customer’s name using a Name or Text Field question.
2. In Question 2’s title, you type @ and select Question 1 from the dropdown list.
3. A dynamic placeholder shortcode such as {{Q1-value:6F5BC0}} is inserted into the title field.
4. When a customer enters Priya in Question 1, Question 2 dynamically greets them on the live quiz as: “Priya, what brings you here today?”

How to use it

1. Navigate to any question that appears after your initial question in the Quiz Builder.
2. Click inside the Question title or Question description text box.
3. Type @ on your keyboard to open the previous questions menu.
4. Select the specific question whose answer you want to display.
5. Save your quiz to apply dynamic personalization.

Note:-

• In the editor, the dynamic tag appears as a shortcode like {{Q1-value:6F5BC0}}.
• On your live storefront, respondents see their real answer text, never the raw shortcode.
• Use this feature to personalize questions with customer names, skin concerns, style preferences, or any earlier responses.

Question Types, Content and Design Settings

​

Single Selection and Multiple Selection

Single Selection and Multiple Selection questions share the same intuitive card and dropdown layout options:

• Single Selection: Respondents can choose only one answer option.
• Multiple Selection: Respondents can select multiple answer options simultaneously.

Center Preview: The center canvas displays the question interface exactly as respondents see it:

• Question title rendered as the primary heading
• Selection subtext, such as (Select one option) or custom limits
• Answer choices displayed in an organized card grid, or grouped in a dropdown menu when Show as Dropdown is enabled

Question Settings

These primary settings control question behavior and display mode:

Setting	Details
Question Type	Choose between Single Selection (one choice only) or Multiple Selection (multiple choices allowed).
Question Required	Requires respondents to make a selection before continuing to the next quiz step.
Show as Dropdown	Renders answer choices inside a clean dropdown menu instead of choice cards. Available for Single Selection and Multiple Selection questions.

Question Content Settings

Field	What It Is For
Question Title	The main question heading displayed to customers. Supports dynamic answers from earlier questions by typing @.
Question Description	Optional secondary subtitle providing extra instructions or context. Also supports @ dynamic shortcodes.

Question Image Settings

You can attach a banner, illustration, or background photo to your question:

Setting	Details
Upload Question Image	Upload an image file up to 20 MB. Supported formats: JPG, SVG, PNG, and WEBP.
Image Placement (Desktop)	Controls desktop positioning: Top, Center, Left, Right, Full Background, Left Background, or Right Background.
Image Transparency (Desktop)	Adjusts image opacity on desktop screens from 0% (transparent) to 100% (fully opaque).
Image Placement (Mobile)	Controls mobile positioning: Top, Center, Above Question Name, Background, or None (hidden on mobile).
Background Focus Point	Sets the focal alignment point when mobile placement is set to Above Question Name or Background.
Image Transparency (Mobile)	Adjusts image opacity specifically for mobile screens from 0% to 100%.

Selection Limits

Available exclusively for Multiple Selection questions when Question Required is enabled:

Select at least	Specifies the minimum number of answer options a customer must select before they can proceed.
Select up to	Specifies the maximum number of answer options a customer is permitted to select.

Question Content Design Settings

Field Design Settings

Customize the appearance of answer choice cards and input containers:

Background color & Outline color	Select custom hex/RGB colors for card backgrounds and borders.
Outline thickness	Adjust border border-width from thinner lines to thicker outlines.
Rounded corners	Adjust border-radius from sharp square edges to fully rounded pill buttons.

Note:-

• Click Add Answer in the settings panel to create a new answer choice for your question.

Answer Settings

Answer settings are available for Single Selection and Multiple Selection questions. Answer Layout: Select an answer card in the preview or settings to configure column layouts:

Auto	Automatically calculates the optimal number of columns based on screen width and option length.
1 Column	Stacks all answer options vertically in a single column.
2 Columns	Arranges answer choices across two side-by-side columns.
3 Columns	Distributes answer choices into a balanced three-column grid.
4 Columns	Distributes answer choices across four horizontal columns on desktop screens.

Option-Wise Settings

Click on any individual answer choice in the settings panel to configure its specific attributes: To reorder an answer option

1. Hover over the answer option in the left Builder list.
2. Click and hold the drag handle icon.
3. Drag the choice up or down to adjust its sequence.

To delete an answer option

1. Hover over the answer option in the list.
2. Click the trash bin delete icon.
3. Confirm if prompted to remove the choice.

Setting	What It Is For
Answer Text	The primary title label displayed on the answer option card.
Description	Optional secondary subtext providing extra details about that specific option.
Answer Tags	Assigns product, customer, or logic tags to this answer for product recommendations and analytics tracking.
Answer Image	Uploads an accompanying visual icon or photograph for that individual answer card.
Image Alignment	Controls the position of the answer image relative to the text (e.g., above, left, or right).

Range Slider

Center Preview Displays the question title and an interactive slider handle moving horizontally across a defined numeric track (such as 0 to 20). Extra content settings

Setting	Details
Range Start	The minimum numerical value selectable on the slider (e.g., 0).
Range End	The maximum numerical value selectable on the slider (e.g., 100). Must be greater than Range Start.

Field Design	Customize the background color and track color of the slider component.

Text Field, Long Text, and Name

These three open-ended text question types capture direct text input from respondents. The live preview updates to reflect the corresponding field height and placeholder style. Center Preview

Text Field	The question title and a single-line text input field with placeholder text like “Type your answer here”.
Long Text	The question title and an expanded multi-line textarea suited for paragraphs, feedback, or comments.
Name	The question title and a formatted single-line input field tailored for person names.

Extra content settings

Setting	Details
Hint Text	Placeholder text displayed inside the empty input field (e.g., “Type your answer here”). Maximum 100 characters.

File Upload

Center Preview: Displays the question title and a prominent upload box with instructions like “Drag & drop files here or click to browse”. Extra content settings

File Type	Choose allowed formats: All, Images, or Document. Customers are restricted to uploading only the chosen file category.
Upload Area Text	Customize the drag-and-drop prompt message displayed inside the upload container.

Question content design settings

Field Style	Customize the upload container’s background color, border style, and border color.
Field Text	Customize the color of the helper and prompt text inside the upload box.

Note:-

• Respondents can upload up to 5 files per question, with a combined total size limit of 5 MB across all files.

Number

Center Preview: Displays the question title and a numeric input box with placeholder hint text. Extra content settings

Setting	Details
Hint Text	Custom placeholder prompt text displayed inside the field. Maximum 100 characters.
Set Minimum Value	Optional lower bound. Prevents respondents from submitting numbers below this threshold (e.g., 1).
Set Maximum Value	Optional upper bound. Prevents respondents from submitting numbers above this threshold (e.g., 100).

Answers outside the specified minimum or maximum boundary are automatically rejected with validation guidance. Question content design settings

Date Field

Center Preview: Displays the question title and a date entry field showing the format placeholder mm/dd/yyyy alongside a calendar icon. Date picker type

Option	What It Does
Single Date	Allows respondents to select a single calendar date.
Date Range	Allows respondents to select both a Start Date and an End Date.

Notes

• When using Date Range, the selected End Date must be equal to or later than the Start Date.
• Incomplete or invalid date formats cannot be submitted.

Feedback

Center Preview: Displays the question title above a numbered feedback scale (e.g., 1 to 10), flanked by descriptive anchor labels such as Least Likely, Average, and Most Likely. Extra content settings

Setting	Details
Number of Options	Adjustable slider selecting between 3 and 10 scale points.
Left Label	Descriptive label for the lowest rating point. Maximum 30 characters (e.g., Least Likely).
Middle Label	Descriptive label for the midpoint rating. Maximum 30 characters (e.g., Average).
Right Label	Descriptive label for the highest rating point. Maximum 30 characters (e.g., Most Likely).

Rating

Center Preview: Displays the question title above a row of rating icons (5 rating icons by default). Rating icon type

Available Icons	Behavior
Star, Heart, Thumbs Up, Smiley, Fire, Trophy	Select one icon symbol for the question scale. Switching icon designs refreshes the visual appearance without altering numerical rating score calculations.

Field Text	Customize icon active and inactive fill colors.

Address

Center Preview: Displays the question title and structured postal address fields:

• Address Line 1
• Address Line 2
• City and State
• Pincode and Country

Address field configuration appears under the Form fields section with the subtitle “Customize labels shown to respondents”. Each address field has these controls:

Control	What it does
Label box	Customizes the field label shown to customers. Maximum 40 characters. A character counter (e.g., 14/40) displays inside the box.
Eye icon	Toggles field visibility. Turning off the eye icon hides the field completely from the customer quiz.
Required checkbox	Enforces mandatory completion. When checked, the customer must fill in that field before continuing.

These controls apply to every address field:

• Address line 1
• Address line 2
• City
• State / Province
• Pincode
• Country

Note:-

• Hidden address fields do not appear to respondents during the quiz.
• Required fields must be completed before the respondent can submit or move to the next screen.
• Field labels can be renamed freely to suit international formats or local storefront languages.
