Score Recommendation

How Score Recommendation Works

1. Assign a score value to each answer.
2. Quizify calculates a final score using either a Basic sum or an Advance formula.
3. The final score is matched to a result based on a score range or custom score.
4. The matched result displays the products, variants, collections, or tags you configured.

From this page, you can:

• Configure recommendation settings and assign scores to supported questions.
• Customize Result Action.
• Build the Fallback result page using HTML, Rich Text, Hero Banner, and other sections.
• Add results and configure each result’s settings.

Navigation

1. Go to Shopify Admin → Apps → Quizify.
2. Open a quiz from Dashboard or My Quizzes.
3. Click Edit or create a new quiz.
4. In the Quiz Builder, click Recommendation in the left icon menu.
5. Select Score.

Page Overview

When Score is selected, you will see:

• Builder list (left) — Displays questions for score mapping, Result Action, Fallback result, other results, and Result page sections.
• Center preview — Displays a live preview of the selected result page.
• Settings panel (right) — Contains score settings, result options, and content/design settings for the selected item.

Types (Settings Panel)

Choose what you want to recommend on the result page. Only one type can be selected.

Collection	Recommend collections
Tag	Recommend products by product tags

Note: The Type dropdown appears when Result options is set to Quizify result page.

Result Options

Choose where users go after completing the quiz.

Option	What it does
Quizify result page	Shows results on the Quizify result page with your configured outcomes, products, and sections
Shopify page	Sends users to a Shopify page or any external URL after quiz completion. Set a Redirect URL for each result

Result Type

Choose how quiz results are evaluated.

Result Type	What it does
Range score	Displays a result when the total score falls within a predefined range, such as 0–20 or 21–40
Custom score	Creates personalized score categories using exact score values you define

Score Method

Choose how the final score is calculated.

Score Method	What it does
Basic	Calculates the final score by adding the values of the selected answers
Advance	Lets you build a custom scoring formula using questions and operators such as +, −, ÷, and ×

When Advance Formula is selected:

1. Open Score result formula.
2. Add questions from the list. You can type to search for questions.
3. Insert operators between questions using +, −, ÷, or ×.
4. Remove tokens from the formula as needed.

Additional Display Options

These options appear only when Result options is set to Quizify result page.

Option	What it does
Hide unavailable products	Hides or shows unavailable products and variants
Show last result	Shows the user’s previous result if they have taken the quiz before, or starts the quiz from the beginning
Show randomise product order	Randomly shuffles the recommended product order for each user

Supported Question Types

Score recommendation works with these question types:

Question Type	How mapping works
Single Choice	Assign a Score to each answer option.
Multiple Choice	Assign a Score to each answer option.
Feedback	Assign Score to three ranges: Least Likely, Average, Most Likely.
Rating	Assign Score to three groups: Unlikely, About as likely as not, Likely.

How to Map Score with Answer

​

Single Choice

1. Open the Single Choice question in the left list.
2. Each answer option has a score field.
3. Assign a score for that particular option.
4. When the user selects an option, the points for that option are added to calculate the final result.

Multiple Choice

1. Open the Multiple Choice question in the left list.
2. Each answer option has a score field.
3. Assign a score for that particular option.
4. When the user selects an option, the points for that option are added to calculate the final result.

Feedback

The Feedback question type is divided into three ranges:

• Least Likely
• Average
• Most Likely

Assign a score separately for each range. When the user gives feedback, the points for that option are added to calculate the final result.

Rating

The Rating question type is divided into three groups:

• Unlikely
• About as likely as not
• Likely

Assign a score separately for each. When the user gives a rating, that option is added to calculate the final result.

Result Action

Customize the actions displayed on the result page, such as Retake quiz, Cart, and Checkout.

Section Visibility

1. Hover over Result Action.
2. Click the Eye icon to hide or show the Result Action section.

Result Action Content Settings

Retake Quiz: Button on the result page that lets shoppers restart the quiz from the beginning.

Setting	Details
Retake quiz	Customize the Retake quiz label. Maximum 25 characters.

View Cart: Show a button on the result page that takes shoppers to their cart.

Setting	Details
Cart button	Enable or disable the Cart button on the result page that takes shoppers to their cart.
Cart button text	Customize the Cart button label. Maximum 25 characters.

Proceed to Checkout: Show a button on the result page that sends shoppers to Shopify checkout.

Checkout button	Enable or disable the Checkout button on the result page.
Checkout text	Customize the Checkout button label. Maximum 25 characters.

Result Action Design Settings

Setting	Options / Details
Background Color	Background color of the Result Action bar.
Section Placement	Top or Bottom.
Sticky position	Available only when Section Placement is Top. Keeps the bar fixed while scrolling. On your store, this only applies to full-size popup quizzes.
Font Color	Text color.
Font Size	8 px – 50 px.
Font Weight	Light, Regular, Semi Bold, Bold.
Section Spacing	Top and Bottom: 0 px – 100 px each.
Retake Quiz	Allow user to take quiz again
Link Type	Anchor or Button, per action.
Position	Left, Center, or Right, per action.
Button Style	Available only when Link Type is Button. Includes Background Color, Border Color, Border Width (0–10 px), and Corner Radius (0–50 px).

Setting	Options / Details
Link Type	Anchor or Button.
Position	Left, Center, or Right.
Button Settings	Available only when Link Type is Button: Border Width (0–10 px), Corner Radius (0–50 px), Background Color, and Border Color.

Fallback Result Page

The Fallback result is the default result shown when a user’s score does not match any configured score range or custom score.

Fallback Result Content Settings

Setting	Details
Result name	Name for the fallback result. Maximum 50 characters
Recommendation mapping	Map Products, Variants, Collections, or Tags. If using Shopify page, configure a Redirect URL instead

Fallback Result Design Settings

• Make section full width
• Page width: 1000 px–1600 px

Fallback Result Page Sections

Fallback uses the same section types as Normal recommendation. Click the Open link on the right to view that section’s content and design settings in a new tab. Use + Add section to add additional sections.

Hover over a section to:

• Hide/Show the section
• Delete the section
• Drag the section to reorder it

Add Result and Result-Wise Settings

Create and manage score-based results by defining score ranges or custom scores and assigning recommendations to each result. In the left sidebar:

• • Add result — Creates a new score result.
• Hover over any result to delete or duplicate that particular result page.

Result Content Settings

For the selected result:

Setting	Details
Result name	Name for the result. Maximum 50 characters

Range Score

When Result type is Range score, define the range that triggers the result.

Start score	Minimum score for the result
End score	Maximum score for the result

Custom Score

When Result type is Custom score:

1. Enter the score value or values for the result.
2. Press Enter to add a score. You can add multiple exact scores for one particular result page.
3. The result is shown when the user’s final score exactly matches one of the configured custom scores.

Recommendation Mapping

Assign what users see when the result is matched while using Quizify result page.

If Result options is set to Shopify page, configure a Redirect URL for the result instead of product mapping.

Result Page Design Settings

Setting	Details
Make section full width	Enables or disables the full-width layout
Page width	Sets the content width from 1000 px to 1600 px

Result Page Sections Per Result

Each added result can use the same page sections available in Fallback result:

• Products
• Discount
• HTML
• Rich Text
• Hero Banner
• Image with Text
• Video

Customize each result’s page independently so different score outcomes can display different messaging and layouts. You can add multiple result pages by clicking + Add Result.
