This flow involves three parts:
  1. Shopify — Product and store setup
  2. Subscription App — Subscription plan setup
  3. Quizify — Product recommendation and quiz setup

1. Install a Subscription App

First, install a supported subscription app on your Shopify store. Examples:
  • Recharge
  • Appstle
  • Seal Subscriptions
The subscription app is responsible for creating and managing subscription plans.

2. Create a Subscription Plan

After installing the subscription app, create a subscription plan based on your app. image Configure the settings provided by your subscription app, such as:
  • Delivery frequency
  • Subscription price
  • Discount
  • Billing frequency
  • Other subscription settings
For example: Product: Coffee Beans One-time price: $20 Subscription: $18 every 30 days The exact settings available depend on the subscription app you use.

3. Attach the Plan to Products

After creating the subscription plan, select the Shopify products that should be available for subscription. For example: Subscription Plan: Subscribe & Save Products: Coffee Beans, Tea, Protein Powder, etc At this stage, the subscription plan is associated with the selected products.
Note:-
  • A product must have a subscription plan configured through Shopify or your subscription app before Quizify can show a subscription option for that product.

4. Configure the product in Quizify

Now open the quiz in Quizify. Map products to answers so they can be recommended from the quiz. Products can be recommended based on logic such as:
  • Normal [ Based on selected answer by user ]
  • Score
  • Personality type

5. Connect Product Subscription Apps

  1. Go to Shopify Admin → Apps → Quizify.
  2. Open your quiz from Dashboard or My Quizzes (click Edit or create a new quiz).
  3. In the Quiz Builder, click Integration in the left icon menu.
  4. Choose Product Subscription and connect Product Subscription Apps. image This allows Quizify to work with the subscription information configured for your Shopify products.

6. Check whether the product have a subscription plan

When the recommended product have a subscription plan configured in Shopify through the subscription app, the customer can see the available purchase options.

  • One-time purchase
  • Subscribe & Save — $18 every 30 days
The customer can choose the option they prefer before adding the product to the cart. Product with a subscription plan If the recommended product does not have a subscription plan attached to it, Quizify does not create one automatically. The product is treated as a normal product.

Example

The quiz recommends: Product: Coffee Mug Price: $15 The Coffee Mug has no subscription plan configured in Shopify. The customer will see the normal product purchase option rather than a subscription option. Product without a subscription plan

Important

Quizify does not:
  • Create a subscription plan
  • Automatically attach a subscription plan
  • Convert a normal product into a subscription product
  • Invent a subscription frequency
  • Apply a subscription discount
The subscription plan must already exist in Shopify or the connected subscription app.

8. Customer Selects the Purchase Option

If the recommended product has a subscription plan, the customer can select the available purchase option. For example: SRT Demon ○ One-time purchase — $20 ○ Subscribe & Save — $18 every 30 days The customer selects their preferred option and clicks Add to Cart. Customer selects a purchase option

9. Customer Completes Checkout

The customer continues through the Shopify checkout process. If they selected a subscription option, the subscription is handled according to the subscription app’s configuration. If they selected a one-time purchase, the product is purchased normally.
